Last night in NYC, we had our LLC reunion and it was really nice to reconnect with old friends, I love PR people, journalists and event people. They are positive, pro-active people that are always ready to tackle another adventure.
I also announced a new program with a company Balsam Hill, a beautiful home decor company based in the Bay Area that makes the most beautiful holiday decor. The idea came from a former colleague of mine who I worked with in San Francisco at Edelman Public Relations who now has her own company. It is so nice to have many of my former colleagues reach out to me to ask how they can help Operation Smile. #celebritiesforsmiles is outlined below! This
holiday season, Balsam Hill (www.balsamhill.com), the leading retailer of
holiday and Christmas home décor, and Operation Smile, the world’s largest
volunteer-based cleft lip and cleft palate charity, are proud to announce that
they will be partnering to give children around the world the gift of a smile
for life with the #CelebritiesforSmiles
campaign. Balsam Hill’s partnership with
Operation Smile will include a minimum contribution of $25,000 to Operation
Smile and we would love for you to help us make it so much more.
We are inviting more
than 30 celebrities from fashion, art, film,
sports, design, television and culinary arts to autograph Balsam Hill
ornaments. The ornaments will then be auctioned off via a special landing page
on eBay, December 1-8, 2014 and 100 percent of the funds raised will be donated
to Operation Smile to provide life-changing surgery to children around the world.
